Chief Warrant Officer James Doppler is not the sergeant major of 731 Signals Squadron, a unit that actually no longer exists. He is the Base Regimental Sergeant Major, the senior non-commissioned member for the ASU (Base) and is considered the base commander’s “right-hand.” He did serve with 731 Signals Squadron from 2005-09 as noted in the information on the front page of the Feb. 14 edition of the Shilo Stag. Incorrect information appeared in Wednesday’s Sun.
