Councillors will decide whether to alter the start time of their regular planning commission meetings during Monday’s meeting.
Second and third readings of the change to the city’s planning commission bylaw will happen on Monday. That will alter the start time of regular meetings from the usual 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The proposed change is requested to alleviate staffing conflicts and to attempt to keep public hearings from extending too late into the evening.
The bylaw was read a first time at council’s regular meeting on Dec. 16.
The original bylaw was adopted by council in 2006 under the authority of the planning act to establish and assign responsibilities to the City of Brandon Planning Commission.
