A Westman man faces charges after police pulled him over for speeding and found a substantial amount of drugs inside his car.
Last Wednesday at about 5 p.m., Treherne RCMP clocked the man’s 2004 Pontiac Sunfire going 138 km/h along Highway 2 in the RM of Grey, where the speed limit is 100 km/h.
When police pulled over the car, they found evidence that the driver was involved in trafficking drugs.
Mounties say they seized 3.3 pounds of marijuana from the car, plus a number of hydromorphone pills and marijuana-trafficking paraphernalia. They also spotted open liquor and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Darly Todd Price, 51, of Cypress River, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
He has a court date in Portage la Prairie.
