Time is running out for community groups that would like a little money from the city.
Non-profit organizations hoping to be considered for a municipal grant in 2015 must have their completed applications handed into city hall by Monday.
Application forms and more information is available online at brandon.ca/council-information/committees-a-boards. Organizations may also call 204-729-2296.
Applications, along with the required financial documents, have to be completed and submitted to the City Clerk’s Office on the second floor of city hall by 5 p.m. June 30, to be considered eligible.
Applications will be reviewed in the fall by the grants review committee of city council, with recommended grant funding to be provided for council approval ahead of its 2015 budget deliberations.
The money will be given out after council’s final approval of the 2015 budget.
This year, a total of $183,500 was provided to 38 different various community groups and organizations.
