Brandon police say they’re still dealing with a rash of petty thefts from inside unlocked vehicles.
They say they took multiple reports throughout Tuesday of vehicles that had been entered, rummaged through and had articles of value or cash stolen from inside.
All the vehicles were unlocked at the time.
Police remind people to take basic precautions to protect themselves against this type of crime: Ensure vehicles are locked, remove or hide valuables from sight, park in a well-lit and visible spot, and if equipped, activate the vehicle’s alarm.
