WINNIPEG — A former Winnipeg police constable has pleaded guilty to downloading child pornography on a home computer.
Michael Robert Hall, 31, is to be sentenced later this year after admitting to a charge of possessing several illegal images.
Additional charges of accessing and distributing child pornography were stayed by an independent prosecutor.
No specific facts of the case were read into the court record.
Hall remains free on bail but does face a mandatory sentence of at least 45 days in jail.
He was arrested last summer following a tip through the Canadian Child Protection Centre.
