Maybe she should have got a penalty for "butt-ending."

A former Brandon University student has been charged with indecent acts after a woman stripped during a hockey game in Alberta.

RCMP say the 21-year-old woman didn’t get completely naked but removed enough clothing to be chilly.

"She would have froze if we had left her out there much longer, let’s put it that way," said Pincher Creek RCMP Const. Robert Wright.

Wright outlined a strange series of events that actually began about 30 minutes earlier — around 6 p.m. on Dec. 30.

That’s when Mounties were called about a collision along a residential street in Pincher Creek, Alta.

A car travelling in the wrong lane had nearly hit a pickup truck head-on.

The truck driver managed to take evasive action and the truck was sideswiped by the car.

There were no injuries, but the car took off and the truck driver followed.

Both vehicles stopped at some point, words were exchanged between the two parties, and the car and its occupants took off again, but not before the pickup truck driver got a description of the suspects and licence plate number.

Within minutes, Wright said, police began to get calls from the Pincher Creek Arena during a men’s recreation hockey league game.

Callers were in a "huff," Wright said.

"They’ve got some female out on the ice who’s removing her clothing … the game has now been delayed," Wright said.

Chaos ensued when rink attendants tried to get the woman off the ice, Wright said.

Police attended and arrested the woman.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car had already been arrested after being found in the vehicle about two blocks from the arena.

Brittany Paige Hourie, 21, is charged with indecent acts, obstruction of a police officer and causing a disturbance by being drunk in public.

Tiffany Estelle Dawn Hourie, 27, is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, refusal to provide a breath sample and provincial driving offences.

Both have been released with court dates for later this month.

The accused are sisters and both have ties to Brandon, although they now live in Alberta.

Brittany Hourie’s Facebook page indicates that she’s from Brandon and attended Crocus Plains high school.

Tiffany Hourie also has ties to Brandon.

She was a scholarship recipient who earned her education degree at Brandon University.

Her Facebook page indicates that she’d either attended or worked at Rossburn Collegiate Institute.

On a website, she’s listed as a junior high school teacher at Ermineskin Junior Senior High School in Hobbema, Alta.

Pincher Creek is 210 kilometres south of Calgary. In 2011, its population was listed at 3,685.
