Four people face drug-related charges after three separate drug busts in Brandon.
City police say that the first one was brought to their attention by school staff at Crocus Plains. A 17-year-old boy at the school was found in possession of what’s believed to be ecstacy. He’s to appear in court on Feb. 13, charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Then, at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, officers pulled over a vehicle on the 2800-block of Victoria Avenue and say that they uncovered about four grams of what they believe to be methamphetamines. A 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both from Winnipeg, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and are also scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 13.
Finally, at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday, police pulled over another vehicle in the 00-block of Willowdale Crescent. That stop resulted in police turning up about 22 grams of probable marijuana. The driver, a 30-year-old Brandon man, was charged with possession of marijuana, and he, too, is to appear in court on Feb. 13.
