Brandon police have arrested a fourth teenager in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store last week. The 14-year-old Brandon boy is accused of stealing a pickup truck that was used as the getaway vehicle.
The 7-Eleven store on Willowdale Crescent near 26th Street was robbed at gunpoint early on Sept. 27. Two people entered the store, armed with a shotgun and a large knife, and made off with cash and cigarettes.
Police arrested two teenagers later that day and a third teenager was arrested on Monday afternoon, accused of stealing the shotgun that was used in the crime. Police say that gun has still not been recovered.
The 14-year-old, who was arrested Tuesday, is believed to have been the one who stole a white 1999 Ford F-150 from Regent Crescent that was used during the robbery.
He is to appear in court on Nov. 26 on charges of armed robbery and theft of a vehicle.
