These are just some of the pampering services available at Escape Day Spa in Brandon — and can make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone.
"Facials are extremely relaxing and they leave the skin feeling amazing," said Toni Gramiak, owner of Escape Day Spa. "We have two massage pedicure chairs in a private room, so they can come on their own, or they can come with a friend or their spouse."
Depending on which treatment package you choose, your better half could go to the spa for a few hours or an entire day.
One of the most popular spa packages is "Whisper" ($180), which includes a facial, water massage, 30-minute massage and pedicure.
With the "Slimming Bliss" package, clients go into the Escape Capsule, which fills with soothing heat and essential oils that have a therapeutic impact on the mind and body. This package also features a water massage and includes powerful slimming products.
Gramiak said the special slimming products include ingredients that can be "infused deeper in to the skin, so they can actually reach the areas where the fat cells are and the toxins, and help to dispel some of those toxins and excess fluid."
Spa packages range from $66 to $328. Individual treatments, such as massage therapy, hot stone, manicures and mud wraps can also be purchased through a gift certificate.
"Many people either buy a gift certificate for a dollar amount to let the recipient choose whatever they want, or they buy a specific service," Gramiak said.
Meanwhile at Alieshia’s Salon and Spa, a special February spa package is available for $185, which includes an aromatherapy body wrap, facial and pedicure.
"It’s three and a half hours of relaxation," said salon owner Alieshia Cullen. "We start off by doing a full-body exfoliation with essential oils and then we do a full-body massage, mini facial and scalp massage."
Alieshia’s also offers pre-made or custom gift baskets, which can include hair products, skin care, body products and jewelry.
Another popular service is eyelash extensions, which are on sale for $99.
"It’s a semi-permanent individual lash that’s applied onto your natural eyelash," Cullen said.
It will last indefinitely with monthly upkeep, Cullen explained, or they just naturally shed with your own eyelashes.
"Definitely within the past couple years it’s becoming more popular," she said.
Other services provided at Alieshia’s include hairstyle, cut and colour, bikini or Brazilian waxing and even the new trend called "Vajazzling," which uses rhinestone crystals.
"It’s basically body art for the bikini area," Cullen said.
