Val Caldwell unpacked a car full of toys, gifts, groceries and cleaning supplies that will be delivered to a Brandon family this holiday season.
“We’ve got four big boxes of groceries in the back seat,” she said.
Caldwell, the administrative assistant at Brandon’s Kal Tire car repair and service centre, said the store’s second year donating to Adopt-A-Family was a success.
“Everybody in the shop got involved. Everybody brought in different stuff, and the shop itself donated also.”
The store has been bringing in food and presents for the past few weeks and Caldwell dropped it off to be delivered on Wednesday afternoon.
“It’s just the right thing to do,” she said. “We won’t actually be making the delivery to the family ourselves, but we’re happy to be able to make a difference.”
The hamper will be delivered by Betty Gibson School.
