A man who took out his anger on headstones in the Brandon cemetery will face charges after two of them were damaged — including one that was more than a century old.
Police say that they were called to the cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, when they found that two headstones had been pushed over and damaged. They say one of them dated back to the 1800s.
The suspect, a 21-year-old Brandon man, was apparently in a rage over some issues that were unrelated to the cemetery. He was located and arrested Wednesday.
The man will be charged with mischief to property over $5,000, and he has a court date of Nov. 21.
