A man faces charges after a string of incidents that may have started with a damaged fence.
Police say they were first called shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday to a home on Madison Crescent, where a female resident said that a man had just kicked open her front door and knocked over the television inside.
When she confronted him, he apparently left, but officers went to talk to the caller and the suspect returned.
The man appeared intoxicated and was belligerent, police say and he was arrested.
Police say they think the break-in is related to an altercation that he had with the caller’s sister earlier in the day, when the sister apparently backed into the man’s fence.
A 32-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on April 2 on charges of break, enter and mischief to property. He was kept in jail overnight for release when sober.
