Man charged after Dauphin store window broken

Dauphin police have charged a man who they say was intoxicated when he smashed a plate glass window in that city.

Officers from the Dauphin municipal RCMP detachment were called to a Main Street business in Dauphin at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, where mischief had been reported. They say that a man, apparently intoxicated, had smashed the plate glass window out of the store’s front.

He was arrested and held in custody to appear in Dauphin court yesterday.

Joshua James Chartrand, 23, is charged with mischief and with breaching his probation.
