A 40-year-old man faces several charges after a dispute with his ex-wife and her friend turned violent at a home on Magnolia Drive.
Early Saturday morning, police were called to a residence after the home owner reported that she arrived home with a friend to find her ex-husband smashing items in the home.
The ex-husband then assaulted his former wife and her friend before leaving the home.
Police located the man, who is not supposed to communicate with his wife or consume alcohol due to a court order, in the area a few hours later.
The suspect, who is from Newfoundland, faces eight charges including two charges of assault and breaking recognizance orders.
