Two weeks after someone barged into a Dauphin gas station and forced the clerk to empty the register at gunpoint, police have made an arrest.
Leroy Christopher Thompson, 24, was arrested Wednesday morning at a Dauphin home and was to appear in court yesterday, to face charges of robbery and breach of probation.
Police say the charges stem from a robbery at a Main Street gas station in that city, which happened on Feb. 19.
As previously reported, the robbery occurred at about 8:30 p.m. that evening. Armed with what appeared to be a long gun of some type, the culprit entered the gas station, demanded that the clerk empty the register and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was physically harmed.
