The driver of a car that slammed into a hydro pole Saturday afternoon has been released from hospital — but he was taken immediately into police custody.
Police say the 23-year-old man was discharged from hospital Wednesday afternoon, and they took him straight to jail. He had previous warrants for his arrest issued by the Morden police: He was wanted on three counts of failing to comply with his probation and two counts of failing to attend court.
He has also now been charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving, and was to appear in court on Thursday.
