Man faces impaired driving charge

For the second time in a little more than a week, a suspected drunk driver has been arrested in a fast-food drive-thru.

On Tuesday at about 12:30 a.m., staff working at a fast food restaurant in the 2600-block of Victoria Avenue observed a suspected impaired driver in the drive-thru.

Police stopped the vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect provided samples of his breath, which showed an alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit.

A 27-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on Jan. 7, 2013 on a charge of impaired driving.

On Dec. 16, a man was found passed out behind the wheel as he waited for food in the drive-thru of a local fast-food restaurant.

Police charged a 31-year-old Brandon man with impaired driving. He has already made his first court appearance.
