Man facing charges after rollover

A man spent the night in Carberry hospital after his ATV rolled Thursday evening. He’s also facing a number of charges related to the incident.

Carberry RCMP were alerted to the rollover at about 8:45 p.m. They say the four-wheeled ATV was being driven in Carberry when the accident occurred. The ATV’s driver was already at the Carberry hospital for treatment when police learned about it. No one else was injured and the driver was released Friday morning after treatment.

Police say the man was not wearing a helmet while on the ATV and they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A 30-year-old Brandon man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing a lawful blood demand as well as driving while disqualified.

He is to appear in Brandon court on Aug. 13.

Police continue to investigate.
