A crash on Victoria Avenue East sent a Brandon man to hospital with serious injuries yesterday morning.
Police say they were called at about 8:15 a.m. Friday to the 1400-block of Victoria Avenue East.
The 60-year-old victim was apparently walking across the street, headed south, when he was hit by an eastbound car.
He was taken to hospital with what police say were serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Reportedly, he suffered a broken leg and a gash on the head.
Const. Ron Burgess told the Sun that it’s too early to rule out factors like speed of the vehicle or whether alcohol was involved.
He added that he doesn’t know whether any traffic control devices were in the area or where precisely the man was attempting to cross the street.
