It was a job well done for police who were faced with a rare situation.
They say a highly intoxicated man who was wandering around with a steak knife now faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon.
Police were called around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon; they were told a man was walking on the 500-block of First Street with a steak knife in his hand, although it looked like he was trying to conceal it from sight.
Officers were already nearby, on the 100-block of McTavish Avenue East, and they spotted him sitting on a bus bench trying to keep the knife from view, and then trying to put it in his pants pocket.
The 31-year-old man was arrested, and jailed overnight to sober up and he was to appear in Brandon court on Thursday.
