Police investigating a stolen laptop say they have uncovered a pattern of repeated robberies against a woman.
She initially reported the laptop theft on Sept. 9, telling police that a male acquaintance had stolen it from her several days earlier. However, during their investigation, they say that the same man had allegedly robbed her before.
According to police, on Sept. 1, the man choked her until she gave him her debit card, which he then used to withdraw cash. Later that same day, he allegedly forced her to supply money for a hotel room.
On Sept. 5, they say, he went to her home and again choked her until she gave him her laptop computer.
Police haven’t been able to find the suspect. However, they have requested an arrest warrant for him.
A 24-year-old Brandon man is sought on multiple charges, including three counts of robbery with violence or threat of violence and two counts of choking to overcome resistance.
