A man is expected to recover after a stabbing late Sunday evening in Brandon.
Police were called to an apartment in the 1400-block of First Street, where they found him with a wound to his upper body. An ambulance took the 33-year-old victim to hospital; his injuries are described as non-life threatening, and he remains in stable condition.
In a neighbouring apartment was the suspect, who was arrested without incident and held overnight at the Brandon Correctional Centre.
A 31-year-old man was to appear in court yesterday charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and failing to comply with conditions of probation.
