The latest wave of foreign workers recruited to work at Maple Leaf Foods will be arriving in Brandon later this month.
Maple Leaf spokesperson Dave Bauer said the company is firming up the dates for the workers to arrive from Honduras and El Salvador.
"We have candidates and they still have to just do some paper work and then we’ll have a firmer date set in the next little while," Bauer said.
A total of 200 workers will be arriving, but they will come in waves.
Bauer said the workers will be put through a "robust" orientation to get them acquainted with their new home.
"It’s a week long," he said. "It’s a full ‘Welcome to Brandon,’ ‘Welcome to Canada’ orientation, and it’s also a Maple Leaf orientation."
