The Marquis Project will receive a 2011 Manitoba Excellence in Sustainability Award today at the Manitoba legislature.
The awards, presented by Manitoba Conservation Minister Gord Mackintosh are given to individuals and groups that use the province’s sustainable development into lasting achievements, a government press release said.
The Marquis Project’s Worldly Goods Shop has been slated to close this month, likely by April 13-14, to allow the organization to focus on its educational goals.
