Two Minnedosa men face counterfeiting charges after fake American $20 bills were passed in Brandon this week.
Brandon police say they zeroed in on the pair after similar incidents in Minnedosa were reported to RCMP there, and say that Mounties had already tracked down and arrested the suspects.
Investigators in Brandon quickly determined they were also suspects in the fake cash that was passed here — at a highway service station and convenience store — and arrested them.
The men, aged 18 and 23, have been charged with use of counterfeit money and were to appear in court yesterday.
