Karen Morrow-Penner, Edward Anderson and Bob McCallum were each presented with the medals on Tuesday.
"(Their) dedication and values show why rural communities continue to succeed," said Merv Tweed, the Brandon-Souris Conservative MP who made the presentation.
"Brandon-Souris is known for the strength of its community leaders who make sacrifice after sacrifice for their communities while asking nothing in return, this is an opportunity to acknowledge those individuals."
The Diamond Jubilee Medal was created in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee — the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne — to recognize Canadians from all walks of life who have made significant contributions to Canada or whose achievements abroad have brought credit to Canada.
