Police say a man driving a van with stolen plates was already wanted — 10 times over.
Officers pulled over the blue panel van at about 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, after a computer check showed that the licence plates had been reported stolen from Winnipeg.
The man behind the wheel, they say, was driving while suspended and another check uncovered 10 arrest warrants for him outstanding from other Manitoba jurisdictions.
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, was to appear in court yesterday on charges of possession of stolen property and driving while disqualified, along with the charges from the outstanding warrants.
