Police say they won’t be charging the driver of a pickup truck that smashed head-on into a motorcycle, killing the motorcyclist.
RCMP from Shoal Lake said Monday that it looks like the motorcycle crossed the centre line of the highway, veering into the path of the truck.
The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday, at the intersection of Station Road and First Avenue in Shoal Lake.
According to a police investigation, the 2008 Honda motorcycle was southbound when it crashed into a northbound 2003 Dodge pickup.
The 22-year-old Shoal Lake man who was on the motorcycle was taken to hospital, but was pronounced dead.
The 54-year-old man behind the wheel of the pickup, also from Shoal Lake, was not injured.
