No suspects following attack on willowdale

Three people apparently grabbed and punched a woman early Saturday morning, in a pre-dawn attack that police say has no obvious motive.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was not seriously injured in the attack, which happened around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. She was walking near a bike path, behind apartments on the 3500-block of Willowdale Crescent, when she was grabbed and assaulted by three males. The woman was punched several times in the torso, police say.

The only description that could be provided of the attackers was that they were believed to be in their late teens, with one appearing Caucasian and the other two aboriginal.

Police are investigating and ask that anyone with information on the incident call them at 204-729-2345.
