Police have charged a man they found hiding on the roof of a Brandon business.
The man was found after police responded to an alarm at the business on the 200-block of 16th Street at about 4 a.m. yesterday.
While officers were checking out the alarm, they heard noises from up above and found the suspect hiding on the roof. He was then arrested.
He had a pry bar on him, police say, but was never able to get inside the business.
A 28-year-old man from Nova Scotia was scheduled to appear in court yesterday on charges of possession of house-breaking instruments and attempted break and enter with intent.

OK, physical assault and sexual assault are different. But they do have similarities. If I were physically assaulted by someone I knew, what are the odds that I would wait 14-18 years and then go to the police to press charges? Not at all likely. But sexual assault charges based on alleged incidents which happened eons ago are not uncommon. Very bizarre and dare I say, suspicious?
