Officers arrest three for ignoring court orders

Three people face new charges after police caught them disobeying court orders related to previous legal troubles.

The first stemmed from a curfew check conducted last week on a 23-year-old woman who was supposed to be at home as part of her bail, but couldn’t be tracked down. On Monday, she turned up for a court date and was re-arrested there. She has since been released again and has another date in court on Aug. 11.

The second, a 15-year-old girl, was accused of not abiding by the conditions of her probation. Police located her at her home on Monday and arrested her there. She, too, has been released, but is to appear in court on June 24.

The third was early Tuesday, a little before 2 a.m., when police checked a 49-year-old man on the 600-block of 18th Street and found that he was supposed to be under a curfew. He was arrested and held overnight, and was to appear in court Tuesday.
