Police arrest four on outstanding warrants

City police have cleared some names off their "Wanted" list.

Around 12 p.m. on Thursday, the Brandon Police Service bike patrol unit checked a man on the 200-block of Ninth Street

and learned that he had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with probation. A 20-year-old man is to appear in court on Aug. 11.

That afternoon, police arrested another man on a warrant at the probation office. A 32-year-old man was lodged in jail to await a court appearance.

Then, in the evening, a suspect made it easy by surrendering at the police station for warrants for failing to attend court.

An 18-year-old Steinbach man was taken to jail to appear in

court later.

On Friday morning, a fourth person was picked up on a warrant when patrol officers checked a man on the 1800-block of Maple Avenue. They discovered he was wanted on three counts of breaching a release order. He too was taken to jail to await court.
