Just two days after police were trying to link a series of shed and garage break-ins to a west-end arson, officers are looking into a few more thefts.
At least one is being investigated as connected to the 28th Street arson.
Police say someone entered an unlocked shed on the 200-block of 26th Street and stole a can of gas.
Although it happened the same night in the same area as the arson, it wasn’t reported until late Thursday morning.
Police also say that a garage had been entered on Balsam Crescent.
The break-in happened sometime Wednesday night. Although items were rummaged through, nothing appears to have been stolen.
A third break-in, to a yard in the zero-hundred block of Ninth Street North, was also reported Thursday morning.
A lock was cut off the yard’s fence to get in and some firewood as well as a vehicle wheel was taken.
Police say the culprits also tried to break into a house and two garages on the property, but were unsuccessful.
All of the break-ins are still under investigation.
