Police say officers were called to the 900-block of 10th Street at about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday by a woman who reported she had been struck several times by a man whom she knows.
Police located the suspect at a neighbouring residence and charged him with assault. He is expected in court in May.
The woman did not require any medical attention as a result of the assault.
