Brandon police responded to a complaint of a hit-and-run collision in a hotel parking lot located on the 3100-block of Victoria Avenue around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Police eventually stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later on Ninth Street North where the driver of the truck appeared to be intoxicated.
Breath tests revealed a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit.
Police have laid several charges against a 21-year-old Brandon man relating to the investigation, including driving while prohibited.
