Police have charged three male youths in connection to a violent robbery that happened early Saturday morning.
Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. on the 200-block of 21st Street. A man and woman were approached by a group of people who proceeded to assault and rob them of personal property.
The man was taken to hospital where he received treatment for injuries. Police detained several suspects in the area a short time later.
Three male youths were later charged with robbery with threats of violence, robbery with assault, and assault causing bodily harm. They will appear in court Oct. 9.
A female youth was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and will appear in court Oct. 2.
