Police seek help to find missing Westman resident

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 41-year-old man from Westman.

Carl Champion, a resident of the RM of Langford near Neepawa, hasn’t been seen or heard from since he was in contact with his family the week around July 30.

In a Facebook post, Champion’s sister said that he had been working for Brandon-based Midwest Industries on a job in the Regina area and that his car was found abandoned about 100 kilometres north of Swan River on Sunday, Aug. 3. She said that the working assumption is that the car had been stolen.

Champion is described as a Caucasian man, with a slender build of about five-foot-eight and 160 pounds. He has long brown hair and green eyes, and walks with a limp. He wears a brace on his left leg and may have been wearing either grey sweatpants or jeans with white running shoes and a black jacket that appears to be fake leather.

Anyone with information about Champion’s location should call the Swan River RCMP at 204-734-3455.
