Police seek man with slingshot

Police are looking for a man who used a slingshot to fire a projectile from a moving vehicle on Friday.

Shortly before 7 p.m., Carberry RCMP were called after the driver of a pickup truck reported that while he was travelling south on Highway 5 another truck passed him. While doing so, a passenger leaned out the window and fired a projectile from a slingshot toward his vehicle.

The projectile struck the partially open driver’s window causing it to smash, nearly causing a collision.

The suspect’s truck is described as a older grey Ford with spots of red autobody paint. The suspect is described as a young man wearing a backward blue ball cap and sun glasses.

The RCMP asks anyone who might have any information call the Carberry detachment at 834-2905.
