Local police officers nabbed two drunk drivers over the weekend.
A highly impaired man who was seen about to drive away from the 700-block of Seventh Street was stopped by an observer until officers arrived.
According to the Brandon Police Service, the 53-year-old man attempting to drive away on Friday night had more than double the legal limit of alcohol in his system and was charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle.
He was later released from police custody to a sober family member and is to appear in court on Thursday.
On the same night in a separate incident, a vehicle was pulled over on the 1200-block of 10th Street.
A 21-year-old Brandon man, who had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system, will appear in court today.
