Police say they were forced to Taser a man who caused a ruckus at a city shelter.
The confrontation came on Thursday evening, police report. Officers were called to the YWCA shelter to deal with an intoxicated resident who was causing a disturbance.
House rules state that residents can’t be intoxicated, police say.
The man became aggressive and resisted arrest and police say an officer was forced to Taser the man to get him under control. He was then taken to the Brandon jail.
No officers were hurt.
A 45-year-old man was charged with resisting a peace officer and released on conditions to appear in court in May.
