If you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, why not join a free program for living better with chronic disease?
Get Better Together! may be the perfect group setting in which to become more empowered about your own health care from trained instructors who also struggle with some kind of ongoing health problem.
They can range from diabetes to heart health, to depression and fatigue, arthritis, fibromyalgia, cancer, high blood pressure, and includes multiple problems that may involve addictions and problems with anxiety.
There are three six-week sessions from which to choose this fall. The first one got underway on Wednesday.
• Sept. 12 to Oct. 17, Wednesday evenings, 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at CMHA, 1202 Rosser Ave.
• Oct. 25 to Nov. 29, Thursday afternoons, 1p.m.-3:30 p.m. at Public Health Services in The Town Centre and the West Lounge, Brandon Regional Health Centre
• Nov. 2 to Dec. 7, Friday mornings, 9:30 a.m. to noon in the West Lounge, Brandon Regional Health Centre.
