It’s time again to honour the tourism movers and shakers in Westman over the past year.
Tourism Westman is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Tribute to Tourism awards.
“The hard work and dedication put forth by certain individuals, businesses and organizations to go that extra mile in turning something good into something great has a significant impact on visitors returning to our region time and time again,” says regional tourism co-ordinator Michelle Frechette.
“Nominating someone for a Tribute award is a really great way to honour and recognize just that.”
Nominations are being accepted in the following categories: aspiring youth, marketing excellence, partnership, product development, service excellence, volunteer of the year and event of the year.
Nomination deadline is Friday, April 12.
Winners will be announced at the Tribute to Tourism Gala on June 5 at the Royal Oak Inn and Suites in Brandon.
Each nominee will receive one complimentary ticket to the gala where they will be honoured by their peers. As well, all winners will automatically advance to the Manitoba Tourism Award competition.
The gala evening will be MC’d by CJRB Radio’s Barry Lamb and will feature special entertainment by well-known Canadian comedian Debra DiGiovani.
