Rosenort man arrested after audit turns up fraud

An audit is being credited for uncovering a substantial amount of missing money dating back to 2010.

Police say a Brandon church organization reported the apparent fraud to them on Jan. 16 after auditors turned it up. A former employee of the organization is alleged to have billed a large amount of personal debt to his company credit card over the past two and a half years.

The suspect was questioned and arrested on Tuesday.

A 30-year-old man from Rosenort is to appear in court on April 8 to face a charge of fraud over $5,000.
