Police are seeking the public’s help in locating Shaya Marie Denault-Tribble, 14, who was reported to have fled a CFS facility in Brandon on Aug. 20. (SUBMITTED)
A 14-year-old girl who ran away from her Brandon group home was last seen in Hartney and police say she may be in the Medora-Waskada area.
They’re asking for public help in tracking her down, and say that authorities are concerned for her well-being, as she may be in danger of being exploited.
Shaya Marie Denault-Tribble was reported to have fled a CFS facility in Brandon sometime Aug. 20 and that her whereabouts were unknown. However, she was reported at a family member’s home in Hartney a few days later, on Sunday, Aug. 24.
Since then, police say, there’s been no luck in tracking her down.
Denault-Tribble is described as having reddish-brown hair that is below her shoulders, although she may have dyed it another colour. She has green eyes, a fair complexion, is 5-foot-6 and weighs about 145 pounds. Police don’t have a description of what she might be wearing.
Anyone with information on where she might be is asked to call the Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or to contact Crime Stoppers or their local RCMP detachment.
