Kristina Courtney Salita, seen in photos released by the police, went missing from a Winnipeg foster home on June 19 and was picked up in Brandon the next day. But she has since fled the facility again, along with another resident, and they are believed to be returning to Brandon. (SUBMITTED)
A Winnipeg girl who ran off to Brandon last week and was found here is missing again, and police say she and another runaway may be headed back here.
Twelve-year-old Kristina Courtney Salita first went missing from a Winnipeg foster home on June 19, but was picked up in Brandon the next day, thanks to tips from the public.
Later that morning, she was taken back to a Winnipeg Child and Family Services facility.
However, on Sunday evening, police say they learned that Salita and another resident of the facility had fled and were believed to be returning to Brandon.
Their attempts to locate her have been unsuccessful and police say they are concerned for her well-being.
Salita is described as Hispanic, with long dyed blonde hair and green eyes. She has a medium complexion and is about 5-foot-4 and weighs 143 pounds.
Anyone with information on Salita is asked to call Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 204-727-5477.
