The Manitoba Summer Fair is pleased to host Sagkeeng’s Finest, the recent winners of "Canada’s Got Talent."

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to take in the first-place act during three different shows on Sunday, June 10.

The shows are open to all and are included with the cost of gate admission. Organizers hope the community will come out and support this young Manitoba talent.

The group is being brought to the Manitoba Summer Fair through a partnership with the Aboriginal Showcase: Spirit Of All Nations, a component of the Manitoba Summer Fair that runs from Wednesday to Saturday.

The three-member dance troupe from Manitoba’s Sagkeeng First Nation — Vince O’Laney, 17, and brothers Brandon and Dallas Courchene, 18 and 16, respectively — claimed first place on the first season of Citytv’s "Canada’s Got Talent" on May 14.

The trio beat out 11 other finalists — including dancers, beatboxers, a country artist, an opera singer, a rapper and a circus performer — and earned the most votes from viewers.

Sagkeeng’s Finest perform a fusion of traditional jigging, tap-dancing and hip hop dancing.

Aboriginal day is on Saturday, Sagkeeng Finest to perform on Sunday, why a day later? Is this a blatant attempt to sell more tickets? Obviously!
