On Friday evening, Brandon police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of 34th Street and Victoria Avenue.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a 46-year-old man, but found that he was not intoxicated.
However, the man, who is a resident of Saskatchewan, had been drinking and was in violation of a court order. Further investigation revealed that the man was in possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to safe storage regulations.
The man was arrested and lodged overnight at Brandon Correctional Centre.
