Police turned up cocaine during a search of a Brandon apartment this week.
At about 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, officers went to an apartment on the 100-block of Percy Street, where the resident was bound by a court order that authorized random searches of his apartment for drugs.
Around 40 grams of cocaine was located and seized and the suspect was arrested. The drugs would be worth about $4,000 on the street, police estimate.
A 34-year-old Brandon man was to appear in court yesterday on charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of recognizance.
