Brandon police are investigating several break and enters.
On Saturday just before 4 p.m., police were called to the 400-block of Frederick Street, where someone entered a home through the front door and took off with a small amount of liquor.
Earlier in the day, two reports came in of two break and enters into sheds — one at 9 a.m. on the 900-block of Fourth Street, where from two mountain bikes were stolen but later recovered by officers on the 800-block of 26th Street.
The other break and enter call came in at 11 a.m. Saturday on the 1200-block of Fifth Street, but nothing appeared to be stolen.
Meanwhile, a thief who walked into an unlocked east end home wasn’t found, but the stolen items were.
Police responded to the call just after midnight Saturday.
The man took a purse and other smaller items and took off. With help from a police dog, police were able to find the missing items, but couldn't find the culprit.
A few hours later, at 2:40 a.m., police responded to another break and enter, at a detached garage, also in the east end.
Police say the homeowner reported three people were breaking into his garage, but when police showed up, the suspects were gone before actually taking anything.
And just after 4 a.m. Saturday, police were called to an alarm at north end business where someone pried open a shed door, but again, nothing appeared to be stolen.
